Bad Breath Makeover

To me, there’s nothing worse than bad breath. Haven’t we all been around somebody that has awful breath and had to tolerate it at one time or another. Should we have compassion for these people with bad breath or should we just tell them up front that there breath smells like garbage?
Perhaps we are not seeing the big picture with these people who go around with there foul smelling mouths, maybe they are just unaware of the torture that they put on other people, or maybe they even have a medical condition that is causing the bad breath. In any case, there are solutions out there to treat bad breath and I thinks it’s everyone’s job to help inform these folks of their bad breath if we are encountered with such people.
Now just telling people that they have bad breath may not solve the problem, I’m thinking that about 80% of the people out there are not even aware of their foul smelling mouths and the other 20% just don’t care how their breath smells. For the ones that do care, I am prepared to offer the following advice that I read at Bad Breath Makeover (yes, just like the television show except it’s Bad Breath Makeover)
Brush your tongue, that gets rid of all the plaque that can cause that stench coming from your mouth
Don’t eat garlic, or consider not going out next time that you do
Have that mouth of yours looked at by a certified doctor, you might be suffering from a disease
Go to the dentist once in while, rotten teeth really stink
Mouthwash can mask your horrible breath until you find the root of the problem
Ya, I could go on and on about what I would like to say to you people with bad breath, but the fact of it is I would probably not say anything and just back far away. After I back away, you’re gonna think that I don’t like you, which may or may not be true. You may have a great personality and we may be getting along great, but after I back away because I don’t want to tolerate your bad breath, you may think that I don’t like you for all the wrong reasons. This comes as great dispare to you and you start changing all sorts of things about yourself just to be my friend again. You start telling jokes again and dressing better around me when you finally get to be in my presence again to no avale. If you only knew it was your bad breath, life would have been so much easier.
So there you have it, I guess we do have a responsibility to inform those with garbage breath that their breath really stinks. This prevents complex situations from arising and provides the offender clear indication that they must do something about their mouth stench.
When telling people about their foul smelling mouths, be nice, be polite and offer sensible advice if you think that you know the cause of their bad breath. Oh ya, and for a great conversation topic, bring up Bad Breath Makeover and how you learned so much about curing bad breath.
