Bloggers, Don’t Quit Your Day Job

February 20, 2008

Loser BloggerToday, I just read about another wannabe blogger who quit their real job to work online.  What a shame when they realize that they don’t have a clue about how to make real money online.  Go ahead, quit your day job to “work online” as a professional blogger, chances are you will be wishing you had your old job back.  It will take a week or two to sink in, but to replace a real jobs income, you need to be in the top 1/10th of the top 1% of bloggers or better.  Oh and excuse me if I didn’t count your Ebay gig selling old shit from your basement, that doesn’t really count since even my grandmother could do that.

Coping With Pain, A Blogger’s Story

February 16, 2008

Pain RelieverI stopped working at a physical job partly due to the backpain I was suffering from on a daily basis.  Since then, moving into another industry that requires my brain instead of my body has been very rewarding.  Gone are the days of lifting cement, drywall and plywood, now the heaviest thing I lift is a box of paper occassionally.  Its been a smooth transition going from a warehouse environment to an office environment, but it also took a large committment from myself.

It was partly a forced option to leave my physical demanding job, but I still played a major role in where my life was taking me.  For instance, the very next job I got after being lay-off at the warehouse was at a lumber factory.  This job was equally physically demanding if not more and also involved shift work.  Well, I hated shift work and my back was more sore than ever, so that’s when I finally decided to leave this type of work altogether.  Fortunitely I got layed off from the lumber factory ten weeks after being hired, it really was a blessing in disguise.

Why John Chow Is Failing?

February 14, 2008

If you have not heard about John Chow by now, then you probably are not a serious blogger.  For those who do know John Chow, you already know that he has taken blogging to a whole new level.  In fact, he’s currently one of the most popular bloggers in North America.

This post is dedicated to why John Chow is failing to connect with regular people.  I mentioned John’s blog to several people over the past few months and encouraged them to check out his blog.  Most people I referred to his website went there on their own to explore what made him so popular.  The majority of feedback I recieved was as expected, they didn’t get why he was attracting a loyal following.  They could not relate to the majority of topics that John talked about and felt he abandoned them all together when he talked about how to make money.  For those of you who don’t know the theme of John’s website, it is based on “how to make money online”.

Reverse Phone Detective

February 10, 2008

Reverse Phone DetectiveWhen we first heard about the Reverse Phone Detective, we knew we had to have it.  If you are like me, you get strange phone numbers calling your cell phone and home phone on a regular basis.  I usually figure if its important, they can leave me a message if I don’t feel like taking a call from an unknown number.  The worst part is if you keep getting calls from these unknown numbers, it can be very annoying.

RoboForm Autofiller - Marketing Tool

February 9, 2008

RoboForm - FREE DownloadI was first introduced to RoboForm when I started entering contests online a few years ago.  I learned really fast that if you are going to enter hundreds of contests like I was, you need a system to get the job done fast.  Instead of typing out all my information every time I visited one of these contest sites, I used RoboForm to do it for me automatically.

My contest entering days are mostly finished now, but only after winning my fair share of prizes.  Over the course of a year I won many prizes (wouldn’t have won a quarter of these without RoboForm) including the following:

Blogging For Profit

February 9, 2008

Blog ProfitsBefore adding reviews on this website, I’d like to talk about going the distance on blogging.  I’m seeing so many bloggers out there, sometimes I wonder how my blog is going to ever get read.  So like most projects I undertake, I scoured the Internet to find out all the details.
